Purina Institute Exhibit
2018
Role: Technologist
Client: Purina
Team: Tellart
The Purina Institute highlights important innovations in pet nutrition.
Through interactive exhibits, our team created stories that take complex scientific research and transform it into understandable and engaging experiences for non-scientific stakeholders.
Interactions
By using both tangible and intangible interactions that make use of translucent 3D printed biological models, gesture recognition systems, bespoke gut-microbiome exploration devices, cast-resin smart objects, responsive projections, and transparent screens, our team created experiences that evoke senses of wonder and admiration for the science behind pet nutrition.
Augmented Media
Transparent screens expand the light sculpture centerpiece with navegable stories, highlighting how nutrient-rich foods could even reverse signs of aging in pets.
Bespoke Interfaces
Through a robust prototyping process, custom hardware and interaction models were developed for intuitively navigating Purina’s research, such as the gut-microbiome explorer.
Tangible Interaction
By leveraging the old with the new, cast resin objects become beautiful intuitive interfaces for interactive storytelling.
